Practice Real-World Skills in Your Fundamentals of Workplace Health & Safety Courses

Throughout your curriculum, your instructors will assign coursework that may help you prioritize real-world skills and experience. Some possible course projects include:

  • Perform a qualitative and quantitative analysis by reviewing a Worker Experience Analysis Report to spot potential ergonomic stressors and risk factors in the work environment.
  • Write a memo to the management team that identifies the exposure standards for hazardous substances. Give the team a recommendation of selected exposure limits during normal operations, as well as a recommendation in the event of a spill or release of a hazardous substance.
  • Conduct an exposure assessment of a worker population by developing an Air Sampling Plan that gathers information, establishes a similar exposure group, and defines an exposure profile for a workplace scenario.
