Dr. Kate Goldberg

Kate Goldberg is a collegiate faculty at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC), where she teaches students how to be data analysts. Throughout her professional career, she became an in-house data analyst in different industries, such as nonprofit fundraising, health care practice management, help desk management, environmental management, and institutional research. Regardless of the industry, she believes in empowering her students with curiosity and critical thinking about data analytics.
Kate enjoys reading about data analytics practices and co-edited a book titled, Teaching Data Analytics: Pedagogy and Program Design. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, playing pickleball, genealogy, and history.
Kate holds a BA in mathematical biology from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, a master’s in Data Analytics from UMGC, and a doctorate in business administration from UMGC.
