Option 1: Take Courses to Earn DAWIA/FAC Certifications
Several of UMGC's undergraduate business programs can help you satisfy the DAWIA/FAC certification requirement of 24 credit hours in business-related courses. Choose major courses from the programs below:

Option 2: Use Your Certifications to Earn UMGC Credit
Transfer up to 90 credits toward your bachelor’s degree from DAU and FAI courses with ACE credit recommendations.
If you have completed the Program Management Level III certification from DAU, you may be eligible to transfer up to 9 graduate credits toward an MS in Management with a Project Management concentration. You must submit official transcripts from DAU for review, along with the transfer credit evaluation request form, to confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements.
You will receive 3 credits per course for the following:
- PMAN 634
- PMAN 638
- PMAN 641
All coursework for the degree, including courses taken at DAU, must be completed within a five-year window.
If you have completed the FAC-P/PM Senior Level Certification from FAI, you may be eligible to transfer up to 9 graduate credits toward an MS in Management with a Project Management concentration. You must submit official transcripts from FAI for review, along with the transfer credit evaluation request form, to confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements.
You will receive 3-credits per course for the following:
- PMAN 638
- PMAN 641
- PMAN 650
All coursework for the degree, including courses taken at DAU, must be completed within a five-year window.
If you have completed the following FAC certifications, you may be eligible to transfer credit toward the acquisition and contract management master's degree or acquisition and contract management graduate certificate.

Get Started & Register
Apply for admission to UMGC: Complete the online application for admission. It typically takes about 10 minutes. Be sure to select your employer or organization on the application form.
Complete a tuition benefits verification form: Complete an employment/membership verification form for each term that you plan to enroll in courses. Be sure to fill out the proper form. UMGC has a separate verification form for employees/members and spouses/dependents.
Earn credit for your education and eligible experience: Submit your official transcripts from any previous institutions of higher education.
Register for classes: Once you're admitted to UMGC, you will receive a student ID (EmplID) so you can register for courses online. Check the schedule of classes to view courses, and then register for classes online using the MyUMGC Student Portal.
