In-Person Graduation Event: Grad Walk
Grad Walk is a unique and intimate in-person commencement experience where UMGC graduates are center stage and receive individual recognition—while their guests enjoy a front-row view!
Graduates can select from multiple time slots during Grad Walk, May 15–18, 2025, for their individual recognition at the College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center at UMGC’s administrative headquarters in Adelphi, Maryland. Watch our Grad Walk video and go to Guide to Grad Walk to learn more.
Celebrations That Come to You
For stateside graduates living anywhere around the world, UMGC will also host an on-demand ceremony, featuring a student speaker and the conferral of degrees by UMGC President Gregory W. Fowler, PhD, on the Spring 2025 Commencement website.
In addition, an online Gallery of Graduates will showcase recognition slides that you can personalize and share via email and social media.
Finally, you will receive a Grad Pack in April that will contain UMGC goodies to help jump-start the festivities.
