Adelphi, Md. (June 28, 2023)—University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) has announced an alliance with Interfima, a professional association in the financial services industry, to provide an affordable option for students to become a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Certified Risk Specialist (CRS). Through the partnership, UMGC students can take advantage of CRS training via Interfima’s e-learning platform at a discounted rate.

“The partnership will expand the financial foundations of UMGC graduates and equip them with increased tools for professional growth and success,” said Kathleen Sindell, director of UMGC's finance and economics programs. “The CRS designation can also assist a professional looking to change careers.”

To qualify for the discounted CRS training, UMGC students must complete a bachelor’s or graduate degree in finance, economics, business, or law. The CRS training bundle includes CRS preparation course materials, six hours of review, and a one-hour exam for $600. UMGC alumni are also eligible to apply for the discount. Alumni who are in process of studying for the CRS exam can take the test for $200 and receive continuing education annually for $250.
