Get access to University of Maryland Global Campus reporting on institutional data.
As Maryland's open-access, adult-serving institution, UMGC serves a unique and diverse population of students: transfer students, active-duty military servicemembers, veterans, and working adults. To provide an accurate picture of student success, UMGC has identified a specific set of measures for our student population.
UMGC Graduation Rate Information
A widely accepted measure of institutional success is the graduation rate. Tables 1 and 2 below present worldwide and stateside graduation rates for various subgroups of UMGC’s student population. Worldwide data includes the overseas military community served by UMGC through its contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense. These students represent a population with unique circumstances associated with military life and education.
See Table 3 and Table 4 for data disclosures required by the Department of Education.

UMGC IPEDS Information
The federal government requires all public institutions to report on first-time, full-time students who enter in the fall. The most recent graduation and transfer-out data available in IPEDS (Institutional Post-Secondary Education Data System) is for the fall 2012 cohort at UMGC and is presented in Table 3. These students represented less than 3 percent of the total undergraduate students who were new to UMGC in the fall 2012 term. In addition, the retention rate for first-time full-time students who began attending UMGC in the fall 2019 term is presented in Table 4.
