EXPLORE MORE OF UMGC

UMGC's online library is available 24/7 to students around the globe.

As a University of Maryland Global Campus student, you'll have access to our extensive online library—a digital-first experience built from the ground up with your needs in mind. Extensive collections of journal articles, ebooks, reports, data, and other research materials for UMGC's academic programs are immediately available online.  Additional journal articles and book chapters that are not immediately available can be requested and delivered online. Books can be mailed to you at no cost within the continental United States. Help from UMGC's librarians is also available via online chat and email.

  • Partner with faculty, administrators, and staff in building next generation learning solutions
  • Provide information resources not otherwise available to students, faculty, and staff
  • Preserve and promote UMGC's history

Who Can Access the Library

Current students, faculty, and staff have full access to the Library's online resources.  Print books from the University System of Maryland and Affiliated Institutions Library Consortium are available to all students, faculty, and staff in the continental United States, and to faculty abroad.

I don’t think there was ever a moment where I felt unprepared in regard to the resources provided by UMGC. I always felt like there was always some sort of access. UMGC has a really nice online library portal where I had a lot of access to documentation and books and online resources.
