UMGC makes it easier for you to earn a master's degree in management at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

This scholarship is no longer being awarded to new students. The scholarship was available for the spring, summer, and fall 2018 terms.

University of Maryland Global Campus is offering the JBLM Graduate Scholarship to lower tuition costs for active-duty servicemembers and their spouses and dependents who qualify for UMGC's graduate military tuition rate and enroll in hybrid courses in the Master of Science in management program at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

The scholarship will be available for the spring, summer, and fall 2018 terms at this time.

How to Earn This Scholarship

Apply to UMGC in Three Easy Steps

  1. If you are not already a student at UMGC, complete the UMGC application for admission.
  2. Send UMGC official transcripts for college coursework completed outside of UMGC.
  3. Talk to an admissions advisor if you have questions about the application process.

Deadline and Submission Information

There is no separate application process for the JBLM Graduate Scholarship. You must register for courses by the registration deadline of the term in which you want to receive the scholarship. We will contact you through the MyUMGC student portal if you are selected to receive this scholarship.

How the Scholarship Works

If you receive the JBLM Graduate Scholarship, you could earn up to $1,371 toward the completion of your core coursework in the Master of Science in management curriculum. It will be disbursed in increments after you register for each of the specified core courses.

Please note: If you qualify for the graduate military tuition rate, your cost per credit will be lower than the standard graduate out-of-state tuition rate.

Please note: The total tuition cost estimate with the graduate military tuition rate applies to the 36-credit Master of Science in management. If students choose not to use military Tuition Assistance or the JBLM Graduate Scholarship, they are responsible for the resulting charges.

1 The UCSP 615 requirement may be waived if you previously earned a graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution. For more information, contact your academic advisor.
