Department of Education Announces Delay for 2024-25 FAFSA Processing

The Department of Education has announced that students can expect their FAFSA to be fully processed in the first half of March, rather than the original timeframe of late January/early February. Once their FAFSA is processed, their information will be sent to UMGC and they will receive their FAFSA Submission Summary.

Students can fill out a FAFSA by visiting the StudentAid.gov website.

 

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Be sure to apply for Federal financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as FAFSA.

When you apply, please enter school code 011644 to ensure University of Maryland Global Campus receives your FAFSA information.

Book Voucher Update

Please be advised that many UMGC courses will not require you to purchase materials. Please check your class syllabi for information specific to your courses. Book voucher requests cannot be canceled. If you request a book voucher and only use a portion of the funds, UMGC must wait until the end of the semester to reconcile your account and refund the unused funds to you.
