My name is Tonyakristin Henderson, and I am a native of New Jersey but have lived in Arkansas for the past seven years. In addition to serving on STAC, I am the president of the Behavioral and Social Science Student Association at UMGC, APA ambassador, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars at UMGC Vice President.
I am a board-certified faith-based counselor and high ranked behavioral analyst provider for my town in Arkansas. I have obtained various degrees and certifications in my academic journey. In addition to owning two businesses, an upcoming political organization, and one in mental and behavioral health, I am also a political policy maker for various governmental agencies. Additionally, I’m one of the co-contributors to the 988 national hotline, work with a private academic institution as the board member and fundraising co- chair / mental health advisor, an education committee disaster duty officer for the Red Cross, United Nation volunteer, and an OVC partner. My career goal is to change how society views mental health and provide humanistic ways to others globally to combat the mental health crisis.
